When you are icy cold and quietly hunting for dinner, a bunch of mallards come by to swim and feed and generally scare off anything in sight.
Two Northern Shoveler drakes were in town. Apparently they migrate through the eastern US, but breed in the western US and Canada, and spend quality time in Central America.
